A Season is to Savor

Our capacity to be present with the beauty of Nature, to express our gratitude for the bounty of Nature, and our openness to receive the wisdom of Nature is cultivated through daily acts, that may be both simple and grand. As we create space within our day to nurture our relationship with Nature, we cultivate an inner harmony that expands - bringing nourishment to all with whom we connect each day.

When we feel out of balance, the best thing we can do is to reconnect to Nature - our Nature. We are not separate from Nature. Each of us is part of a beautifully and brilliantly interconnected web of relationship - with all beings upon this good Earth. And while we may see the rocks and the aquatic beings and plant beings and winged ones and four-leggeds as separate from us - it is our forgetfulness of the Heart that has created borders where there are none.

“Dare to declare who you are. It is not far from the shores of silence to the boundaries of speech. The path is not long, but the way is deep. You must not only walk there, you must be prepared to leap.” – Hildegard of Bingen

When we can attune our own heart beat to the heart beat of our Earth Mother, when we can invite ourselves to move to the rhythm of Her cycles, we create an opportunity to bring into balance the dynamic and creative Life force.

Throughout our journey this year, we will gather to celebrate, honoring the journey of our Earth around the sun and the cycles of Light; our intention is to give thanks for the inherent and Divine perfection of each moment, and to allow ourselves to embody each cycle of rest, renewal, regeneration, fertility, and creation.

We begin this journey, together, on February 1, Imbolc, which is a celebration of Light, the midpoint between the Winter Solstice (or Yule) and the Vernal Equinox (Ostara). You and your loved ones (of all ages) are invited to our first Wild Minnow Gathering of the new year, “Family Harmony: Nurturing Relationships through the Cycles of Nature”, to explore, connect, and create. We will continue to honor Earth’s dance around the sun in March (Ostara), May (Beltane), June (Litha), August (Lughnasadh), September (Mabon), November (Samhain), and December (Yule).

Our celebrations of Light are also reflected through our monthly lunar celebrations, when we honor the unparalleled beauty of our beloved Grandmother Moon’s wisdom and love. We invite you to gather in community each month to attune to the energy of the full moon and catalyze  your renewal through each cycle through self-inquiry, our Full Moon Alignment,  and shamanic fire wisdom practices, our Dream Weaver Fire Ceremony.
